Terpene sugar is called such because it is very high in terpenes and the THC has begun to crystalize giving it a sugary appearance. Propane is used in the extraction of Terpene Sugar and the result is a wet sugar or sand consistency where the moisture is the high terpene concentrate and the sugar crystals are the solidification of cannabinoids. The same product purged longer in a vacuum oven will create the dryer Sugar Wax consistency. Recommended for extract connoisseurs who are looking for something potent and tasty.
Terpene Icing is similar in high terpene content to Terpene Sugar except there is very little to no crystallization present. Also known as Cake Icing or Budder, Blue Roots’ Terpene Icing is mostly smooth in texture with a very pungent aroma. Propane is used in the extraction of Terpene Icing. The largest difference between terpene icing, sugar wax, and terpene sugar is the texture settling over time.
